วงดนตรี Duo ที่เกิดจาก ‘เจดัย’ (เบส) ไปชวน ‘นาย’ (ร้องนำ/กีตาร์) มาทำวงด้วยกัน ด้วยความที่ทั้งคู่ต่างมีอาชีพหลักอยู่ในอุตสาหกรรมดนตรีอยู่แล้ว ก็เลยอยากจะทำวงดนตรีที่จริงจังแต่เป็นพาร์ทไทม์ บวกกับความชื่นชอบทางดนตรีที่คล้ายกันเลยเป็นที่มาของแนวเพลงและเนื้อหาเพลงที่เล่าอะไรเกี่ยวกับ “ชีวิต” เพราะเด็กหัวหิน-เพชรบุรีอย่างพวกเราชอบฟังเพลงเพื่อชีวิตกันอยู่แล้ว ก็เลยอยากทำวงที่เล่าเนื้อหาเพื่อชีวิตผ่านแนวดนตรีต่างๆ ที่สามารถเปลี่ยนไปได้เรื่อยๆ แบบไม่จำกัด ปัจจุบันอัลบั้มแรกที่พวกเราทำจะเป็นสไตล์ Soul/Funk ด้วยองค์ประกอบเหล่านี้และอีกมากมาย จึงเกิดเป็นวง OK but no. ขึ้นมา!
OK but no. is a duo born from the collaboration between Jedai (bass) and Nai (vocals/guitar), who both already work full-time in the music industry. Wanting to form a band seriously yet part-time project, they teamed up to create a band that reflects their shared musical taste. As kids from Hua Hin and Phetchaburi, places where folk and socially conscious music runs deep, they naturally gravitated toward writing songs about “life.” But instead of sticking to a single genre, they aim to tell these stories through a variety of musical styles, allowing their sound to evolve freely. Their debut album leans into soul and funk, laying the foundation for what OK but no. is all about.
