quicksand bed เริ่มต้นจากการทำโปรเจกต์ดนตรีในห้องนอนเล็กๆของ “เกม”(ร้องนำ/กีตาร์) และ “เจสัน”(ร้องนำ/เบส) สองเพื่อนสนิทที่มีความสนใจในแนวดนตรีแบบโซล ฟังก์ และอิเล็กทรอนิกส์กรูฟยุคเก่าๆ ทำให้เกิดชื่อวงเป็น “quicksand bed” มาจากเตียงที่พวกเขาทำเพลงอยู่ด้วยกันดูดให้พวกเขาจมอยู่หลายชั่วโมง (เหมือนโดนทรายดูด) หลังจากนั้นก็มี “น็อต” (กลอง) เข้ามาร่วม พวกเขาจึงเริ่มปล่อยผลงานเพลงผ่าน Soundcloud ก่อนจะมีโอกาสได้ปล่อยอัลบั้มเต็มกับค่าย NewEchoes ในเวลาต่อมา

quicksand bed started out as a bedroom music project between two close friends, Game (vocals/guitar) and Jason(vocals/bass), who bonded over their shared love for soul, funk, and vintage electronic grooves. The name quicksand bedcame from the idea that the bed where they made music together would suck them in for hours—like sinking into quicksand. Later on, they were joined by Not (drums), and began sharing their music on SoundCloud, eventually landing a full album release with the indie label NewEchoes.
Their sound is a smooth blend of R&B, modern funk, synthpop, and a touch of bedroom soul—anchored by thick basslines and soft, groovy synths that invite subtle head-nods. While the music feels laid-back, the lyrics often explore complex relationships and introspective emotions. Some tracks even carry a sci-fi vibe, like those in their 2025 EP After The First Wave, while others, such as those in their 2022 album OK, Vincent, reflect the urban realities of life in the city.
