macaw and the flowers (มาคอว์ แอนด์ เดอะ ฟลาวเวอร์) คือวงดนตรีอิสระหน้าใหม่ที่ประกอบไปด้วยสามสมาชิก ได้แก่ โฟล์ค(กีต้า) สตัง(เบส) วินเนอร์(กลอง) โดยผ่านการรวมตัวกันมาจากวิทยาลัยดุริยางคศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ด้วยรสนิยมทางดนตรีที่มีความคล้ายกัน ทำให้ macaw and the flowers นั้นตัดสินใจที่จะนำเสนอผลงานผ่านบทเพลงที่มีความย้อนยุค หรือที่เรียกให้เข้าใจง่ายๆว่า retro pop ด้วยการเรียบเรียงดนตรีที่มีกลิ่นอายความretroย้อนยุค จากทั้งไลน์เสียงผสานของทั้ง3สมาชิก และการนำเสนอในรูปแบบที่สมาชิกในวงร้องนำกันทุกคน จึงทำให้ผู้ฟังได้รับความรู้สึกถึงกลิ่นอายของเสียงเพลงจากวงดนตรีในยุค 60s ได้อย่างชัดเจน โดยพวกเราหยิบนำความ retro เหล่านี้ มาผสมผสานเข้ากับเนื้อเพลงที่คมคายสละสลวย และ sound design จาก synth และเอฟเฟคต่างๆในยุคปัจจุบันที่วงตั้งใจปรุงแต่งให้สอดคล้องกับบรรยากาศของเพลง ทำให้บทเพลงจาก macaw and the flowers นั้น มีความเก่าแต่ทันสมัยอยู่ในเวลากัน สร้างสีสันใหม่ๆให้กับวงการดนตรีได้อย่างไม่ยาก
macaw and the flowers is a new independent band made up of three members: Folk on guitar, Stang on bass, and Winner on drums. The band came together at the College of Music, Mahidol University, where their shared musical tastes naturally led them to start making music together.
macaw and the flowers present their work through songs with a retro feel, or simply put, retro pop. Their music carries a clear vintage atmosphere through the blended sound of all three members, along with a distinctive approach where every member takes turns as the lead vocalist. This gives listeners a strong sense of the musical spirit of bands from the 1960s.
The band brings this retro foundation together with sharp, poetic lyrics and modern sound design, incorporating synths and contemporary effects that are carefully crafted to match the mood of each song. As a result, macaw and the flowers create music that feels both nostalgic and modern at the same time, adding fresh color to the music scene with ease.
