Slowwves เป็นวงอัลเทอร์เนทีฟร็อก/slowcore จากกรุงเทพมหานคร ซึ่งเริ่มต้นจากการบังเอิญได้มารู้จักกันของ ภีม มือกีตาร์ และจิล นักร้องนำ หลังจากได้แลกเปลี่ยนความชอบและฟังเพลงที่จิลแต่งขึ้นไว้ก่อนแล้ว พวกเขาทั้งสองก็พบความเป็นไปได้บางอย่าง จนเริ่มต้นลงมือทำงานเพลงร่วมกัน แรกเริ่มเดิมทีวงไม่ได้ตั้งใจหรือมุ่งเน้นไปที่แนวไหนเป็นพิเศษ เพียงแต่พยายามจะหยิบ Elements บางอย่างจากเพลงหรือศิลปินที่ตัวเองชอบมาใช้ในผลงานตัวเองให้เกิดความลงตัวให้ได้มากที่สุดเท่าที่จะเป็นไปได้
ไม่นานนักหลังจากที่ทั้งสองได้เริ่มทำเพลงด้วยกัน ภีมก็เริ่มมองหาสมาชิกคนที่สามนั่นก็คือ จั๊ม มือกลอง ที่จะเข้ามาเติมเต็มพาร์ทที่เหลือของเพลง เริ่ม Debut ด้วย Single แรก Anywhere Else ในวันที่ 1 มีนาคม 2024
Slowwves is an alternative rock/slowcore band based in Bangkok, born from a chance meeting between guitarist Peem and vocalist Jill. After exchanging musical tastes and listening to some of Jill’s earlier compositions, the two recognized a creative spark and began collaborating. From the start, the band didn’t set out to follow any specific genre. Instead, they focused on blending elements from the music and artists they personally loved, striving to create a sound that felt as cohesive and natural as possible.
Not long into their collaboration, Peem sought out a third member to round out the band, Jum, a drummer who would bring the remaining pieces together. Slowwves officially debuted with their first single, Anywhere Else, released on March 1, 2024.
