SRI (Experimental Jazz)

วงศรี เป็นวงดนตรีแนว Experimental Jazz ก่อตั้งโดยสองนักดนตรีแจ๊สรุ่นใหม่ “กระเต็น” (Vetit) มือแซกโซโฟน และ “บิวท์” (Beaut) นักร้องนำ ทั้งสองมีแนวเพลงที่ชื่นชอบคล้ายกัน และมีเป้าหมายเดียวกันในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานผ่านการถ่ายทอดอารมณ์และสไตล์เฉพาะตัวลงในบทเพลง ที่มาชื่อของวง “ศรี” ได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจากชื่อของคุณย่ากระเต็น คุณย่าสมศรี และคุณยายบิวท์ คุณยายจันทร์ศรี ซึ่งบังเอิญมีคำว่า “ศรี” อยู่ในชื่อเหมือนกัน และคำนั้นเองก็กลายมาเป็นของชื่อวงนี้

‘Sri’ has been formed by two Thai new-generation jazz musicians: ‘Vetit’ is the saxophone player, and ‘Beaut’ is the lead vocalist. They share the same music style and the same purpose — to create their art by releasing emotions and expressing their unique identities through songs. The name “Sri” was inspired by the names of their grandmothers. Vetit’s grandmother is Som-Sri, and Beaut’s grandmother is Chan-Sri. Both names happen to include the word “Sri,” which became the band’s name.
