The Shredder เป็นวงดนตรีฮาร์ดคอร์จากเชียงใหม่ ภาคเหนือของประเทศไทย ซึ่งก่อตั้งขึ้นโดยสมาชิกเริ่มต้น ได้แก่ เหนือ (นักร้อง), มิว (กลอง), แซม (เบส), เบิ้ล (กีต้าร์) และเอ (กีตาร์) โดยที่จุดเริ่มต้นเกิดขึ้นจากการที่เหนือและมิวมีความคิดอยากจะทำวงดนตรีและชวนสมาชิกคนอื่นมารวมตัวกันระหว่างที่ซีนในเชียงใหม่กำลังซบเซา หลังจากนั้นก็เริ่มพยายามเข้าร่วมแสดงดนตรีต่างๆเพื่อเป็นการแนะนำวง และจากนั้นจึงได้เปลี่ยนแปลงสมาชิกไปตามกาลเวลา

ปัจจุบัน สมาชิกหลักของวง “The Shredder” ได้แก่ เหนือ (นักร้อง), แซม (กีต้าร์), มิว (กลอง), มาร์ค (เบส) และเปรม (กีตาร์) ซึ่งพวกเขายังคงสร้างผลงานเพลงและแสดงคอนเสิร์ตต่อเนื่อง

ผลงานแรกของวง “The Shredder” คือการแสดงในงาน Regulate and Krust Live in Bangkok ซึ่งเป็นการแสดงที่เปิดตัววงใน Demo EP “Terrify Is Surrounded Me” ซึ่งเป็นการแสดงออกถึงความมุ่งมั่นในดนตรีฮาร์ดคอร์ของพวกเราโดยหลังจากนั้นได้เข้าร่วมงาน Whispers NAROK BON DIN Record Release Show ก่อนที่จะพักยาวเนื่องจากสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของ COVID-19

หลังจากการพักยาว วง “The Shredder” ก็กลับมาแสดงอีกครั้งในงาน Judgmentnight และได้รีลีส Demo 2022 ซึ่งในปีเดียวกันพวกเขาก็ได้ออก EP.Promo 2022 ที่มีเพลงเช่น “Only Chance/Nailed Myself” และ “18” ซึ่ง EP นี้ได้พาพวกเราไปทัวร์ทั้งใน Singapore และ Malaysia และยังได้มีโอกาสร่วมโชว์กับวง Speed อีกด้วย

ในปี 2023 วง “The Shredder” ได้ร่วมงานกับวงฮาร์ดคอร์บีทดาวจากสิงคโปร์ Angulimala ในการออก Split EP 2023 และได้โชว์ในงาน HARD 2 KILL ที่ KL, Malaysia และ SGN, Vietnam

ล่าสุด วง “The Shredder” ได้มีโอกาสไปร่วมทัวร์กับวง Last Wishes และ Headbussa ในการทัวร์ South East Asia & China Tour 2024 และปล่อยผลงานล่าสุด “EP Bloodforged” ไปเมื่อเดือนพฤษภาคมที่ผ่านมา

The Shredder are a hardcore band from Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. The band was originally formed by the founding members: Nuea (vocals), Mew (drums), Sam (bass), Bill (guitar), and A (guitar). It all started when Nuea and Mew wanted to form a band and invited the others to join during a time when the Chiang Mai scene was relatively quiet. They began playing shows to introduce themselves and, over time, the lineup naturally evolved.

The current core members of The Shredder are Nuea (vocals), Sam (guitar), Mew (drums), Mark (bass), and Prem (guitar). They continue to write new music and perform regularly.

The Shredder’s first major appearance was at Regulate and Krust Live in Bangkok, which also served as the debut of their Demo EP Terrify Is Surrounded Me, a release that clearly expressed their commitment to hardcore music. After that, they performed at the Whispers NAROK BON DIN Record Release Show, before taking a long break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

After the hiatus, The Shredder returned to the stage at Judgmentnight and released Demo 2022. In the same year, they put out EP Promo 2022, featuring tracks such as “Only Chance / Nailed Myself” and “18.” This EP took them on tour in Singapore and Malaysia, and also gave them the opportunity to share the stage with Speed.

In 2023, The Shredder collaborated with Singaporean beatdown hardcore band Angulimala on Split EP 2023, and performed at HARD 2 KILL in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as well as in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Most recently, The Shredder joined Last Wishes and Headbussa on the South East Asia & China Tour 2024, and released their latest record, EP Bloodforged, in May.
