เริ่มต้นจากมหาวิทยาลัยที่เดียวกัน ก่อนหน้าที่จะเป็นวงดนตรีเคยเป็นโปรเจคเล็ก ๆ ของเดล (นักร้อง/กีตาร์) และเต (กลอง) มาก่อน แล้วได้มาเจอนอร์ท (เบส) และโจ (กีตาร์) เลยได้ทดลองกับเพลงและแจมกันในแทรคของแต่ละเพลง จนมันเกิดรูปร่างมากขึ้น จนตัดสินใจส่งเพลงกับเพจ The Year Shoegaze Broke ในอัลบั้ม Compilation Vol.2
แนวทางเพลงของ Svalblue จะเป็นการทดลองไปเรื่อย (แบบไปเรื่อยจริง ๆ) เพราะว่าทุกคนอยากหาทำกับสิ่งใหม่ ๆ (ที่ใหม่กับพวกเราทั้ง 4 คน) เลยมีการหยิบ Elements ของวงที่ชอบฟังและแนวดนตรีอื่น ๆ ที่แต่ละคนชื่นชอบเป็นการส่วนตัว แต่ยังต้องการนำมาผสมผสานกับแนวดนตรี Noise Rock และ Shoegaze กันอยู่
ในปี 2024 พวกเราได้ปล่อย EP. Album มีชื่อว่า “”Blue”” ซึ่งมีประกอบไปด้วย 6 แทรคด้วยกัน แต่ในอีกไม่นานเรามีผลงานใหม่ออกมาให้ฟัง หากว่าใครเคยดูพวกเราเล่นก็จะเคยได้ฟังมาก่อนหน้านี้แล้ว ส่วนใครที่ยังไม่เคยดูหรือดูไปแล้ว รอกันได้เลยยยย 🙂
They all started at the same university. Before becoming a full band, it was originally a small project by Del (vocals/guitar) and Tae (drums). Later on, they met North (bass) and Joe (guitar), which led to experimenting with songs and jamming together on each track. Over time, the music began to take shape, and they eventually decided to submit a song to The Year Shoegaze Broke Compilation Vol. 2.
Svalblue’s musical direction is very much about constant experimentation — like, genuinely going wherever it leads. Everyone wants to try new things, especially sounds and ideas that are new to all four members. They bring in elements from bands they love and from different genres each person personally enjoys, while still keeping Noise Rock and Shoegaze as the core of what they do.
In 2024, they released an EP titled Blue, which includes six tracks. And there’s more new material coming very soon. If you’ve seen them play live, you might have already heard some of it. For those who haven’t — or even if you have — just hang tight. It’s coming very soon 🙂
