The first edition is confirmed for August 18 (Mon) & 19 (Tue), 2025 in Shibuya!

CUEW, a Tokyo-based showcase and conference festival that aims to create “new connections” between Japan and the world, will take place over two days on August 18 (Mon) and 19 (Tue), 2025, at XXI / FOWS in Shibuya.

Under the slogan “A CUE for the NEW. A NEW for the CUE.”, the festival brings together a diverse range of music professionals from both Japan and abroad. Through live performances, conferences, and networking opportunities, CUEW serves as a platform for sparking new possibilities across borders.

The inaugural “CUEW Showcase & Conference Tokyo 2025 Summer” will convene a diverse lineup of artists from Japan and key figures from the global music industry.

The event will feature 16 of Japan’s notable artists and 8 international music professionals (delegates supported by the Japan Foundation). Through live showcases, CUEW will spark new opportunities for Japanese talent to reach a global audience, while the conference will facilitate the sharing of international knowledge and networks.

Conference:

Featuring talk sessions and panel discussions with key figures from the Japanese and international music industry. They will share real-world insights and inspiration on topics such as the latest trends, global expansion and international collaboration.

Showcase Live:

Artists will deliver their performances directly to music professionals from Japan and abroad, creating opportunities for their next breakthrough.
