Krtkkkh. ทรีโอแบนด์จากกรุงเทพและปริมณฑล เริ่มต้นจาก”เก่ง” ร้องนำและกีต้าร์เป็นฟรอนท์แมนของวงเริ่มสร้างโปรเจคทำเพลงทดลองแบบ One man band ขึ้นมา เพื่อปลดล็อกความรู้สึกตนเองว่าทำไมการสร้างผลงานคนเดียวจะไม่สามารถทำโชว์ได้? เขาเริ่มออกไป performance ในสถานที่โชว์ต่าง ๆ แบบSolo จนพบกับ “แจ็ค” มือกลอง และ “กัน” มือเบสและซินธ์ ซึ่งมีความคิดในการนำเสนอเพลงในทิศทางเดียวกันคือการผสมความชอบส่วนตัวของแต่ละคนลงไปทั้งกรั้จน์ เมทัล ไปจนถึงเสียงสังเคราะห์ บนแกนหลักดนตรีแบบ Shoegaze
ชื่อวงอ่านว่า เคอาร์ทีเคเฮช ซึ่งได้มาตอนโปรเจคเดี่ยวย่อมาจากชื่อจริง ชื่อเล่น นามสกุลของเก่ง ต่อมามีการเรียกที่ผิดเพี้ยนและหลากหลายออกไป วงจึงมักนำเสนอชื่อวงในแง่ของความนามธรรมที่แล้วแต่คนจะจำและเรียกแบบไหน รู้สึกว่าเป็นการสร้าง Branding ที่ชวนให้สงสัยดี
Krtkkkh is a trio band from Bangkok and its surrounding areas. It all started with “Keng,” the band’s frontman and vocalist-guitarist, who launched an experimental one-man band project as a way to challenge the idea that solo artists couldn’t put on a compelling live show. He began performing solo at various venues, and eventually crossed paths with “Jack” on drums and “Gun” on bass and synth. The three found common ground in their shared musical vision. Blending each member’s personal taste, from grunge and metal to electronic sounds, all anchored by a shoegaze core.
The band’s name, pronounced “K-R-T-K-K-H,” originally came from Keng’s initials: his first name, nickname, and last name. Over time, the name has been mispronounced and interpreted in various ways, which the band embraces as part of its abstract identity. They see it as a mysterious and intriguing form of branding, leaving it up to each person to remember and say it however they like.
