จากการพบกันในโรงเรียนเตรียมอุดมดนตรีมหิดล และเส้นทางดนตรีที่เริ่มจากแจ๊ส sunofkidsune กำลังกลายเป็นชื่อที่น่าจับตามองในซีนอินดี้ไทย วงนี้เกิดจากความสนิทสนมของ เนม และ โห ที่เคยผ่านสนามแข่ง Hotwave มาด้วยกัน ก่อนจะตัดสินใจร่วมมือกันทำเพลงในแบบที่พวกเขาอยากฟังเองจริงๆ
ชื่อวง sunofkidsune อาจฟังดูซับซ้อน แต่จุดเริ่มต้นมาจากแค่ต้องการชื่อเท่ๆ ที่มีความโมเดิร์น คำว่า “sunof” ได้แรงบันดาลใจจาก “son of a bitch” และเติมคำว่า “kitsune” ที่เพื่อนร่วมก่อตั้งชอบเข้าไป ก่อนจะกลายเป็นชื่อที่มีคำว่า “kids” แฝงอยู่ ให้ความรู้สึกถึงพลังของคนรุ่นใหม่ที่เต็มไปด้วยไฟและความคิดสร้างสรรค์
Born from a friendship forged at Mahidol’s College of Music Prep School and rooted in jazz beginnings, sunofkidsune is quickly becoming a name to watch in Thailand’s indie scene. The band was founded by Name and Ho, who once shared the stage as competitors in the Hotwave music contest. Eventually, they decided to team up and create the kind of music they genuinely wanted to hear.
The name sunofkidsune might sound cryptic at first, but it actually came from a desire to find something cool and modern. “Sunof” was inspired by the phrase “son of a bitch,” while “kitsune” — added by a founding member who liked the word — brought a touch of flair. Along the way, they noticed the word “kids” hidden within the name, giving it a deeper layer — a symbol of youth, energy, and creative fire.
